Iceland and democracy

For about thousand years ago, there lived around 900 people on Iceland.
One day there was an internal conflict. It was clear, that if it should come to force of arms, it would end in a massacre.
There was one person, a young man of distinction, great strength and righteous, who understood, that they should not fight with each other.
He was and that has to been mentioned, a christian.
Before starting to fight, he convened, what we now call, a meeting. Almost all inhabitants were present. He explained the situation and told his thoughts about it. After that he also asked them to make a choice: fighting or negotiating.
By fighting: lift up your sword.
By negotiating: lay down your sword.
All men laid down solidly their swords on the ground.
This is the hour of birth to our parliamentary democracy.
The current opinion is, that democracy comes from the early Greece. That's not right, because all the so called free men, had slaves. That didn't count for the real free people on Iceland.

At this moment we see, after the Icelanders got rid of the mala fide Bankers, nor be enslaved by Brussel, that will say, the government of Iceland let no lead them to the will of Europe.
It is true, that there was no referendum and that isn't democratic at all, but defensible.
Sometimes it is necessary that leadership must impose the population of a country, a dictation.
This example about Iceland, with it's circa 300.000 inhabitants, proofs that the democracy of G.W.Bush jr.'s New World Order with his so called freedom and democracy, surely not can be the democracy in our terms. It will be a worldgovernment selected by old mighty families and captains of Industry.
This remains to the old Greek democracy, the Greek antiquity, that was absolutely not chosen by the people, because most people were slaves and were illiterate.
The government of the future needs slaves that can read and write and be obedient. Disobedience will not be accepted.
In other words they are not free at all!
For the rest, the former leader from Iceland, thousand years ago (I have forgotten his name), who has grounded the real parliamentary democracy, was a well respected man for about 40 years till his dead. After this period again the struggle for power arose between the inhabitants, that ended every time in a massacre.

Leefse = Keep alive
Aleke.

P.S. English is not my native language, but I use the principle: 'not HOW I write but WHAT I write is important'.
