Friedrich Nietzsche..... 25 August 1900 !

Friedrich Nietzsche 15 Oktober 1844 - 25 August 1900

Today it is 115 years ago, that Friedrich Nietzsche died.
Almost everybody has heard about him. Isn't it the statement: "God is dead", where a theology student once, had crossed on a pamphlet the word "God" and replaced it in: "Nietzsche is dead".

Many have heard about his sister Elisabeth, who has abused the whole work of Nietzsche and therewith prepared the way for Hitler and his followers.

His statement: "That which does not kill us makes us stronger", is used in different situations, as in the movie: Conan, with Arnold Schwarzenegger.

That what is less known, is the deep going question asked by Nietzsche, in the figure Zarathustra. It is the question to the young men: "You are young and desire child and marriage.
But I ask you: Are you a person entitled to desire a child?
Are you the victorious one, the self-conquerer, the ruler of your passions, the master of your virtues?
Thus I ask you:
Or does the animal speak in your wish and need? Or loneliness? Or discord in you?
Let your victory and freedom long for a child .You shall build living in monuments to your victory and freedom.
You shall build beyond yourself.
But first of all, you must be built yourself, solid in body and soul.
You shall propagate yourself not only onward, but upward!
For that purpose may the garden of marriage help you!

from THUS SPOKE ZARATHUSTRA!

Then, there is a further side that few know, that are his compositions: piano, piano and violin, song.
Particularly when he was young, he developed this quality. When he played his music for Richard Wagner, to hear his opinion, Wagner spoke very disparagingly about Nietzsches music.

I hear in the music from Nietzsche, LIFE, in all his aspects!

A composition is "So lach doch mal"

Another piece is "Heldenklage".
I can imagine, that Nietzsche wrote this piece, to give honour to Napoleon Bonaparte. Napoleon was one of the few real statesmen in the European history. He wanted to achieve with words and action the ideas: FREEDOM, EQUALITY and BROTHERHOOD, for ALL the people! But, by the betrayal of the Church and monarchs, he could not succeed!

Heldenklage

Zigeunertanz

Gebet an das Leben
